Teknologic engineers have designed and built a variety of rugged electronic systems for the U.S. military. In recent years, U.S. military procurement has shifted in favor of COTS (Commercial Off-The Shelf) circuit boards. However, most COTS circuit card assemblies (CCAs) are not able to survive the rigors of a military shock, vibration, and temperature environment without elaborate (and expensive) enclosures. In order to adapt COTS circuit card assemblies to harsh environments, Teknologic has developed TeknoCore(TM) technology. TeknoCore(TM) adapts a conduction cooled, mechanically stiffening core to COTS CCAs, greatly improving survivability in adverse environments.
